Here's the buzz ... A bee's interdependence with plants makes them an excellent example of a type of symbiosis, an association that is beneficial to both parties. So our interdependence with each other is a symbiotic relationship that benefits each one of us.

Okay, okay ... in reality there's a little voyeur in all of us, so just scroll down to have a peek into someone else's thoughts!

Well, he passed Bojangles and did not stop and I did not remind him. I stayed quiet and did not mention it until be got out of the car and started in the house. I hatefully said " I don't want to cook lunch and I don't want a sandwich". He remembered and said " I will go back". I wouldn't let him and I pouted the rest of the afternoon. the last question. I didn't have many other friends other than my neighbors.
People were very cruel and didn't like Yanky, smart, fat girls in Charlotte. My
sisters even told me the only thing good about me was my grades. But I grew up

month pregnant woman.)"

2. Are you named after anyone? My great grandfather was named John Kidd Steelman. I think Kidd was his mother's maiden name. I thought for the longest time that I had been named after him and that Jonathan just came from John. 17. Tell us about something wild and crazy you did as a teenager you probably should have gotten in trouble for but never got caught. (We won't tell ;-) When I was 14, a friend of mine let me drive his parents' car. We took turns fishtailing it down a dirt road until I rolled it over in a ditch. He didn't want his parents to know he had let me drive their brand new car, so he took the blame. Ouch!

Growing up a little more (hopefully :-)...

That name stuck until I graduated. Everyone seemed to enjoy that one and never let it go. Another reason I'm glad that time in my life is over!

4. Do you have a nickname now? I go by "Jo" usually. I get called "goddess" sometimes by my massage clients when I relieve their pain that they've lived with for so long! I could get used to it! 8. Were you picked first or last for playground games? last...thanks for bringing up wonderful memories! ;)

9. Were you a teacher's pet? I was sometimes...I was a brainiac when I was younger. I LOVED math...need I say more?

11. Tell us a sad story about something that happened to you in school. (We'll be standing by with our tissues and go 'ahhhhhh' all at once ;-)

Growing up a little (not) ...

12. When you were a teenager, did you sneak out of the house? Never. Although when I would come home late, I would try to sneak in but unfortutely my dad was as lite of a sleeper as I am and he's always call my name from his bedroom the minute I closed the door. "Joanna, get in here..."

13. Were you an 'instigator', 'collaborator' or 'innocent victim'? Collaborator.

14. Have you ever gone skinny-dipping? No

15. What was the craziest thing you did fashion-wise as a teen? You'd have to help me out on that one Mom! I probably thought it was great! I do remember wearing Koolocks a lot! (sp?) And I also remember them having hideous flourescent colors! (I don't think you did anything too crazy! It was me who got you and Justin a perm at the same time and bought you matching Coca-Cola shirts. Sorry about that :-) It was also me who dressed you in that long pretty yellow and white gingham-checked dress for kindergarten graduation and braided your long blonde hair the night before so it would be wavy the next day ... can I get some points back for that? <g>)

16. Did you ever get so drunk you couldn't remember much of the night? No. I was an angel O:-) hehe

17. Tell us about something wild and crazy you did as a teenager you probably should have gotten in trouble for but never got caught. (We won't tell ;-) hmmm, I think I'll plead the 5th since you are my mother and all... ;) (Whew! Jonathan is always telling his mother about some craziness he and his siblings did as teenagers. She always shakes her head as in 'thank goodness I didn't know what you were up to' ... I think I agree!)

Growing up a little more (hopefully :-)...

18. Do you watch cartoons now? Have a favorite? I don't really watch cartoons but if one would catch my eye it would still be Looney Tunes!

19. Ever buy a box of cereal (for yourself) just for the prize inside? No. Not much of a cereal eater.

20. Do you occasionally pout, throw tantrums or cry to get what you want? If yes, name the last thing that made you do that. I pitched a fit when my husband decided not to go to the mountains for my last wedding anniversary. My husband is still paying for that one! ;)

21. How long has it been since you've done something childlike (for example: ride a bike, play marbles, jump rope, build a sand castle, etc.)? We recently went to Savannah and I was terrified of some huge crabs that our friends caught! Also, me and the other two wives were digging moats and trenches with our heels in the sand! You should have seen us running around and saying "Look at mine!"

Bonnie

1. Do you like your name? Yes, I do... it sounds a little "hard" and doesn't even sound better in French ... bunNEE ... but it's as much a part of me as my personality. Michelle I like, and gave it to Joanna because I thought the names also sounded nice together ... Joanna Michelle.

2. Are you named after anyone? I don't think so. My parents picked Bonnie and my grandfather chose Michelle.

3. Did you have a nickname as a child? yes, several. Daddy called me Doodlebug. My grandfather called me Bonnie Google (I think there was a cartoon character named Barney Google??) Google stuck into my 20's with my sister. Bonnie Blue. Bon-Bon. BC. Bonnie Boots. I'm sure I've forgotten some!

4. Do you have a nickname now? Gwen and BonnieP (from my BonnieProvence address) ... I don't think I have any more.

5. If you could change your name, what would you change it to? I wouldn't change it but something more feminine like Genevieve, Michelle or something that ends in 'a' like Maria or Isabella sounds nice.

6. What is the most interesting name of your friends or someone you know? The first name that comes to mind is my psychology professor. His name was David Xeno (you can call me Xeno) Rassmussen. I worked with a girl named Cecil. My French professor was Professor Boy.

7. As a child, who was your best friend(s)? Sandra Gilmer, Penny Stuchell, and Donna Wages.

8. Were you picked first or last for playground games? First, baby! I played flag and touch (and yes, sometimes tackle) football with the neighborhood BOYS who were all older than me! If they were "playing down" for me, I never knew it. I played all out and became a pretty strong athlete for my age. I joined an after-school softball team in elementary school and could hit a homerun with the best of them ... I love that "feel" on the bat when you know it's a homer LOL!
(Oh dear, didn't I just say something about a more feminine name ...)

9. Were you a teacher's pet? No. I think my political science teacher in 8th grade took an interest in me after she saw me struggling through adolescence. I decided that year I wanted to be a Child Psychologist <haha>. She gave me a book ... "Between Parent and Child" by Dr. Haim Ginott. I read it over and over, even after Joanna was born.

10. Were you a bully or the one being bullied? Neither really. I got along with most everyone but for some reason in Jr. High, 2 girls who sat behind me in Chorus decided to taunt me. One morning they tipped my chair back as I was sitting down and I hurt my back as I fell over the chair ... my daddy took me to the doctor ... I was out of school for a couple of days. When I came back to school, one of them leaned forward and asked, "How is your back?" Then the two of them erupted into laughter. I don't remember when or why they finally stopped picking on me.

11. Tell us a sad story about something that happened to you in school. (We'll be standing by with our tissues and go 'ahhhhhh' all at once ;-) We moved to Georgia in August, soon before I was to start the second grade. On the first day of school, I got on the bus and off I went! I didn't know where anything was at the new school. I looked and looked for my classroom but couldn't find it. The principal had swarms of people around her asking questions and I couldn't get her attention. I was getting scared and started crying. I walked out the front door and started down the sidewalk (where WAS I going?) hardly able to see anything for all the tears. Just then I looked up and saw my mother walking toward me. What a wonderful sight she was!

Growing up a little (not) ...

12. When you were a teenager, did you sneak out of the house? No

13. Were you an 'instigator', 'collaborator' or 'innocent victim'? Probably all three at some point in time! I think most of the time I was an innocent victim easily persuaded to be a collaborator!

14. Have you ever gone skinny-dipping? no

15. What was the craziest thing you did fashion-wise as a teen? Remember those bandanas everyone wore on their head. And those babydoll-style tops that are back in style now ... mine were homemade with patch pockets! Bellbottoms that drug the ground, mini skirts and go-go boots... Ei-yi-yi.

16. Did you ever get so drunk you couldn't remember much of the night? No. If I drank that much, I would've been sick long before the memory started to fade!

17. Tell us about something wild and crazy you did as a teenager you probably should have gotten in trouble for but never got caught. (We won't tell ;-) Skipping school and riding around in my friend's piece of junk car! A couple of times we walked for MILES to a friend's house.

18. Do you watch cartoons now? Have a favorite? No. I do still like the old animated Halloween and Christmas movies ... Charlie Brown, Rudolph etc.

19. Ever buy a box of cereal (for yourself) just for the prize inside? Not that I remember. I do still like kid's cereal ... forget Mueseli ... sticks and twigs ...

20. Do you occasionally pout, throw tantrums or cry to get what you want? If yes, name the last thing that made you do that. Yes, I guess I pout or throw tantrums for NOT getting what I want! Jonathan left on a 14-day trip and tried to leave me with a big old, page-long list of things Emily needs for camp and instructions for what to do with them. It's all in French ... I'm not used to camping French! I didn't want to send her with something she would be teased about because of me translating it wrong. Jonathan wanted me to get Emily's friend (who she's going with) and one of our neighbors to go with me to buy all this stuff so they could help me choose the right things. We lived maybe 100 yards from the Kindergarten--you could see it from the house, and she made me walk there on my 1st day there--I kept looking back at her like I would never see her again, and I cried all day once I got there--the teacher babied me, and told my mother she did not think I was ready for Kindergarten!! 5. If you could change your name, what would you change it to? Probably the only thing I would change would be my surname. Over the years I've thought... Why should women change their surname when they marry? I would change my surname back to my maiden name..."Cameron." Would men want to change their surname to their spouse's surname? There's a question back atcha!

11. Tell us a sad story about something that happened to you in school. (We'll be standing by with our tissues and go 'ahhhhhh' all at once ;-) I'm not able to talk about the worst thing that ever happened to me AT school. But, I will say that the Principle of the school gave the offenders the cane many times across each hand in front of all who were in attendance at the school (all standing at attention on the morning parade field). That wasn't the only punishment the offenders got. I attended school in Australia where corporal punishment was allowed at schools.

Growing up a little (not) ...

12. When you were a teenager, did you sneak out of the house? Never had thoughts of doing so..."goody-two-shoes."

13. Were you an 'instigator', 'collaborator' or 'innocent victim'? Definitely, innocent victim.

So most of the time I give the silent treatment and it is known that I am angry. Mostly I need to distance myself to cool down. I'm still trying to figure out a way to win the war of the sexes.

BONUS: (worth 100 points if it's an answer other than 'can't remember')

21. How long has it been since you've done something childlike (for example: ride a bike, play marbles, jump rope, build a sand castle, etc.)? Now at age 50 I still feel like a child inside, goofing off comes easy to me. I have a childcare business and play with the kids. Sometimes while playing with the kids I wonder what other adults would think if they could see me :). The kids tell me I'm funny, so does my son (now 16), and some of the scouts from my son's troop, and a local friend who is always telling me that I make her laugh. I guess it's my goofing off :). I like to ride my bike, occasionally like to swing on branches in the odd tree, always have a blast in our canoe (goofing off), I'm a big kid on camping trips, and daily doing kid like things. I'm just a big kid at heart. But my aches, pains, sore joints, send me wake up calls that I'm not as young as I use to be, I don't let that stop me of having some fun though. If you don't use it you lose it!

Snooks (Jeanne)

1. Do you like your name? No, I don't like my name. It's one syllable, and just sits there like a dropped stone. I changed the spelling when I was in high school which has caused me no end of annoyance, because I get called practically everything else that begins with J, the most common being "Jeanie" which I hate with a purple passion. If I lived in France, however, it would be super, since the French pronounce "Jeanne" as "Zhan" which I think is very pretty.

2. Are you named after anyone? I don't think so.

3. Did you have a nickname as a child? Yes. My father called me Snooks.

4. Do you have a nickname now? Yes. C'est de ma faute?

5. If you could change your name, what would you change it to? It would be difficult to decide. I'd like to have a name with more than one syllable, something feminine and gentle, yet dignified and strong. A tall order.

6. What is the most interesting name of your friends or someone you know? Ziba Bunnell

7. As a child, who was your best friend(s)? Jane Galloway

8. Were you picked first or last for playground games? Last. I've never had an athletic bone in my body.

9. Were you a teacher's pet? No.

10. Were you a bully or the one being bullied? Neither.

11. Tell us a sad story about something that happened to you in school. (We'll be standing by with our tissues and go 'ahhhhhh' all at once ;-) I don't want to talk about it.

Growing up a little (not) ...

12. When you were a teenager, did you sneak out of the house? No. I was deeply impressed as a child that my mother was God and if I did anything wrong, I would definitely be sorry.

13. Were you an 'instigator', 'collaborator' or 'innocent victim'? Collaborator, I guess. If another kid started something, I'd jump in.

14. Have you ever gone skinny-dipping? No.

15. What was the craziest thing you did fashion-wise as a teen? Wore my father's neckties and a sleeve garter. Pretty tame, huh?

16. Did you ever get so drunk you couldn't remember much of the night? Not until I was grown up. Never again.

17. Tell us about something wild and crazy you did as a teenager you probably should have gotten in trouble for but never got caught. (We won't tell ;-) I was too repressed to even think about doing something wild and crazy.

Growing up a little more (hopefully :-)...

18. Do you watch cartoons now? Have a favorite? The closest thing to a cartoon which I watch is King of the Hill. Hank is always trying so hard to do the right thing and Peggy is a trip. As for Bobby, I think he should have liposuction, then lay off the fruit pies.

19. Ever buy a box of cereal (for yourself) just for the prize inside? No. I always thought there were better things to be had.

20. Do you occasionally pout, throw tantrums or cry to get what you want? If yes, name the last thing that made you do that. Goodness no. I knew from an early age that sort of thing would get me nowhere.

BONUS: (worth 100 points if it's an answer other than 'can't remember')

21. How long has it been since you've done something childlike (for example: ride a bike, play marbles, jump rope, build a sand castle, etc.)? Too long.
